In Ontario, you can visit a physiotherapist without a referral from a doctor or other health care professional.
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pelvic health physiotherapy is a specialized area of physical therapy that focuses on the assessment and treatment of various conditions affecting the pelvic floor and surrounding areas like low back, hips and abdominal region. From urinary incontinence and pelvic pain to postpartum recovery and pelvic floor dysfunction, our skilled physiotherapists are here to work with clients to meet their unique individual goals using an evidence-based approach to treatment.
Pelvic health is an essential part of overall well-being, yet it’s often overlooked. At Reconnect Physiotherapy & Wellness, our pelvic floor physiotherapy services are designed to support women at every stage of life—from pregnancy and postpartum recovery to managing chronic pain and menopause. We use evidence-based treatment approaches to restore function, improve confidence, and help you feel like yourself again.
Our Physiotherapists work through a comprehensive assessment of each individual client. We use assessment skills that build from a strong orthopaedic foundation and then add to this approach a full assessment of the pelvic floor. Through this full assessment, we can determine the underlying causes of pelvic health issues. While each client’s treatment plan is unique, they often use soft tissue techniques like local massage, stretching and mobilizations, specific exercises, and equally important education or knowledge.

- Urinary Incontinence and Pelvic Organ Prolapse
- Pelvic Pain, Pain with Intercourse, Vaginisimus

Psychotherapy
Are you feeling stuck? Sometimes life can be overwhelming. When life gets tough, we want you to know that you don’t have to navigate life’s challenges alone. We are here for you. Our team of licensed healthcare professionals can provide the support you need on your journey to wellness.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety or chronic illness, or going through a big change like a career change, divorce or starting a family, we can help you work through the transition while prioritizing your health and wellness. We do this through scheduling regular therapist-client meetings where we can work together to find out how best to reach your goals. During these sessions, your mental health therapist will help you explore your inner world and address emotions, desires, and memories that may be impacting your mental health. As we work with you, we will form an individualized treatment plan that will address your specific needs.
Athletic Therapy
Athletic therapists help you move better and recover from injuries—whether they happened during sports, workouts, or everyday life. Treatment focuses on assessing the injury, reducing pain, improving strength and mobility, and helping you safely return to the activities you love. Athletic therapy is hands-on, exercise-based, and tailored to your body and goals.
If you want it even shorter or more casual, I can tweak the tone.
